CORRIDOR ALTERNATIVES |

Phase 1 of
the Placer Parkway Corridor Preservation Project is to identify a
reasonable range of alternatives. These corridor alignment alternatives
will then be analyzed in Phase 2 – the Tier 1 Environmental Impact
Statement/Environmental Impact Report (Tier 1 EIS/EIR).
Beginning in May 2003, the project team worked through an extensive technical and public review process to identify, analyze, and recommend a reasonable range of alternatives for Tier 1 EIS/EIR evaluation. On September 28, 2005, the SPRTA Board accepted the Policy Advisory Committee (PAC) recommendations, which identified five corridor alignment alternatives. In addition to these five ‘build’ corridor alignment alternatives, the Tier 1 EIS/EIR will also analyze a “No Build” alternative.
